Mariposa / My Marooned Mail / Mistress Monica

Queens Botanical Garden
This butterfly wants you to think warm thoughts.

I'm not sure if you noticed but I'm trying to do daily updates. You know, tell you a little bit about my day, then show some pictures you haven't seen yet. I'll also be changing my blog and profile layout; it's been a while. It's good to take a break from from things. I find when I take breaks I come back with new energy and new ideas.

And I've actually been answering my mail. I almost never answer my mail! The secret is to delete all the old shit. I posted a bulletin saying I was going to delete all the messages older than a month-and did so. Now when I click on "mail" it doesn't feel so daunting.

My problem (and I'll admit it was a problem) is I had a lot of mail left unanswered. I felt bad deleting it without answering, but I didn't want to answer something so old. And the longer I delayed answering, the older it got. I was stuck in a loop. Had to get rid of them or I'd be stuck forever. If you have the same problem (maybe you're super e-famous) I suggest just deleting it all. But tell people first, it's the polite thing to do.

Monica's been very patiently waiting for me to post this. I couldn't tell you why it's taken me so long. I just kind of stopped posting Otakon photos, didn't I? I'm going to blame REAL LIFE like every other blogger in the Internet. Click the photo for more info on Monica.
